    This could be in the Southern US or even the west somewhere. It shows just how rustic and hard life was with no machines to clear the land and no electricity. The house looks abandoned though.

    The house makes me think of the old Green Acres TV show.
    (It can still make me laugh when I catch it on TV Land.)

    Love this house. In NC where I grew up you can still found old abandoned buildings and houses in the middle of old fields and woods still. No one painted their houses then due to depression times. My great parents house used to look like this the last time I saw it in the 1980s.
