Minor labor dispute at Remington-UMC in Bridgeport, Connecticut over the 8-hour workday. To avoid production delays to supply our allies in World War I, Remingtom agreed to an 8-hour day for a total of a 48 hour workweek. Employees still worked on Saturdays.
