      As I can observe, boat technology has advanced very much. But social classes remain through times.

      Looking at the dress code for this boating outing, I would need say it is a far cry from the bikini (some times topless) and speedo clad men that are observed at the modern day cove parties.

      "Newport will see a lot of the New York Yacht Club on its annual cruise, which will sail into Newport Harbor Aug. 9, on Friday, and remain until the following Monday morning. This means a round of social activity ashore and afloat."
