The Alfred and Elizabeth Bendiner Foundation holds the reproduction rights to all works created by Alfred Bendiner, including material published in the Philadelphia Bulletin. All information documented by P&P staff regarding publication and/or copyright claimants has been recorded in the catalog records. As for works in the collection collected by the Bendiners, published works copyrighted prior to 1923 are in the public domain. Published works copyrighted 1923 and after that are still in their original or renewal term of copyright are protected for 95 years from the copyright date. Unpublished works are protected by copyright for the life of the creator plus 70 years or until the year 2002, whichever is longer. Therefore, patrons are advised to check for copyright prior to publication or other forms of distribution.

Access: Permitted; subject to P&P policy on serving originals. This policy requires that LOTs 13153 and 13154 are served only by appointment due to the fragile nature of the material.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Permitted; subject to P&P policy on copying. This policy prohibits xeroxing of original drawings.

Published works in the Bendiner Collection created by other artists and copyrighted prior to 1923 are in the public domain.
