Captain Pearl R. Nye: Life on the Ohio and Erie Canal documents the culture and the music of the people that worked on the Erie Canal. Captain Pearl R. Nye was born and lived on the Erie Canal and after it was closed he worked to preserve the history, culture and music of the canal. Included in this collection are recording of Nye singing some of the music of the canal and information on the history of the canal.
