Cross-body bags are hands down (or hands free?) the most useful style around. Whether toting passport and cash for a city break, festival must-haves at Glastonbury or just keys and card on a night out, they are the perfect size: large enough for essentials; not so large that you will be tempted to cram in spare shoes, iPad, umbrella and three changes of clothing.
