ASCAP and Music Row came together to honor the team behind the Lee Brice chart-topper "Hard to Love" at a recent #1 Party in Nashville. Songwriter Ben Glover celebrated his first country #1, along with fellow ASCAP member Kyle Jacobs, who produced the song.

12 composers and songwriters from ASCAP’s global film and television music community have earned 13 nominations at the 40th Annual Annie Awards, honoring excellence in the field of animation. Among the nominees are Annie veterans Alf Clausen, Henry Jackman, Brendan Milburn, Cinco Paul, John Powell and Valerie Vigoda.

Pop singer-songwriter and superstar Katy Perry was honored as Billboard’s Woman of the Year at a special event held at Capitale in New York City on November 30th. In addition, ASCAP’s Lauren Iossa was also recognized as part of Billboard’s Women in Music issue, honoring industry leaders.

The ASCAP Pop/Rock crew visited Swedish hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback in the studio to celebrate their phenomenal chart success. Shellback earned an ASCAP #1 plaque for co-writing Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," while Martin earned plaques for his recent hits for Swift and Katy Perry.

Country music hitmakers Lady Antebellum have announced a new charitable initiative called LadyAID, a multitiered philanthropic effort created to raise awareness and generate local, national and global support for children in need.

The All Access Seminars take place in LA on February 23rd. In addition to talks by hit ASCAP producer/publisher Steve Lindsey and songwriters Diane Warren, Cassius and Jeff Barry, every attendee will receive a personal critique from Steve himself. Twenty of the best will present live in front of a panel of A&R execs and hit songwriters.

ASCAP member Nikki Reed may be better known as Twilight character Rosalie Hale, a vampire who longs to be human. For Breaking Dawn Part 2, Reed branched out to songwriting by co-penning the lovely ballad “All I’ve Ever Needed,” featured in the film's end credits.
