LOC, there is a transcription error, the date is 4/24/15.
The parade was down 5th Avenue from 59th Street to Madison Square, 26th Street.

How come big cities don't do police parades any more, anyway? For that matter, what was the point of these in the first place? Huh.

Good questions. If they're getting paid to march, it's a huge expense. Otherwise, good for PR.
This is 5th avenue, between 27th and 28th Streets, looking north. The buildings are pretty much still there, though some have been "modernized" by removing or updating the decorative elements.
