Dustin Hoffman dominates Dave Letterman’s show [VIDEO]

Watch Dustin Hoffman (who deserved a far better Kennedy Center Honors tribute than he got last weekend – Laura Osnes singing “We’ve Grown Accustomed To Your Face”? Really?) steal the spotlight from boy band One Direction when they make their first visit to fellow Ken Cen honoree David Letterman’s show Friday.

Two royal pregnancy TV specials and counting...

One day after TLC announced it had picked up a TV special on the Royal Family Pregnancy (Kate Middleton’s pregnant, have you heard?) to air Sunday, Dec. 16, Lifetime swooped in with news it had picked its own RFP special, which will air Thursday, Dec. 13 — three days earlier!

Lifetime’s special is called “Secrets of the Royal Nursery” which sounds SO like a TLC title!

MTV’s ‘Buckwild’ hits pay dirt with Sen. Joe Manchin’s angry letter

“Buckwild” is about a bunch of MTV-target-audience aged BFF’s doing MTV docu-series-ish things. Think “Jersey Shore.”

“As a U.S. Senator, I am repulsed at this business venture, where some Americans are making money off of the poor decisions of our youth,” Manchin wrote, after seeing only previews of the show – not an actual episode. Because, U.S. Senators don’t have time to do that much homework.

‘The X Factor’: So long Cece, Diamond

L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears. (Ray Mickshaw - Fox)

By the time this hour of “The X Factor” is over, two acts will go home and four will go on to the semi-finals next week -- and we will have heard performances from last year’s X-Victor, Melanie Amaro, as well as the superstar known as Ke$ha.

Anything distinctive we remember about Melanie from last fall’s competition has been expunged as she performs her new single, “Long Distance.” She performs half the song while standing on top of a tall pillar.

Next, a Japanese electronics company pays a lot of money to have the X-testants show off its new line of headphones. That’s followed by Chief Product Placer Simon Cowell telling us that he “was involved with the design” of the headphones and thinks they are the best in the world, meaning they expand to accommodate even the most swollen of heads.
