TRANSCRIPTION

English Translation

Blessed be the readers,
and announcers and subscribers,
all the agents watching the people,
as long as they treat us punctually.

Blessed be the husbands
who don't roam away from their nests,
those who aid their wives dealing in affection,
washing dishes and cleaning the children.

Blessed be the bachelors
who don't have vices and don't go on binges,
and all they earn in a week
they give to father or mother or brother.

Blessed be those wives
who are in their houses counting the hours,
who have their eyes fixed on their home
and don't give us chances to mess around.

Blessed be those readers,
young women and girls, widows and wives,
who are at weddings, or there by the stove,
see, they are thinking about messing around.

Blessed are those, young women
dark skinned and white, who are very pretty,
who have one boyfriend and never two
and who cares if they marry as God wills.

Blessed be, the widows
who look at men and become mute,
those that don't think about marrying again
who let the poor husband rest in peace.

Blessed be, the mothers-in-law,
who don't always show their ugly claws,
who are found in heaven and not in hell
and never bother their poor sons-in-law.
