    Dears Friends,
    it is not Nelson Riddle, but Hugo Whinterhalter, firs musical director od MGM Label, that was founded in 1947. B.Eckstine was firs afroamerican artists of Label and Mr.Hugo was a conductor of MGM Orchestra.
    That I know, because my housebrand is a specialist for Mr.B.Eckstine (see: www.musicaeememoria.it)

    Thank you, xenia. We were relying on William Gottlieb's notes when composing the catalog records. But after examining photos of both Riddle and Winterhalter (and there is some resemblance between the two), I'm inclined to agree with you. I've changed the note to clarify. We'll work on changing the catalog record. Thanks for the heads up!
