The Music Division has a number of finding aids to describe and facilitate the use of many of its special collections. These finding aids are now being converted for use on the Library of Congress Web site. To date, only a small percentage of the total has been made available in this way; more will be added as time permits. Paper copies of most of the finding aids are available for use in the Performing Arts Reading Room and may be photocopied. Please contact the Music Division's Reader Services staff by telephone or letter for further assistance.

When browsing this list of finding aids, please select "View finding aid" to retrieve the finding aid from the Library-wide finding aid database. Additionally, you may select "PDF version " to view and print the finding aid using Adobe Portable Document format.

The Music Division is one of several Library divisions participating in the effort to develop more fully navigable finding aids using Encoded Archival Description (EAD). One may search across encoded finding aids for all Library divisions or browse the union list of EAD finding aids from the Library's EAD Finding Aid page.
