Office Location: Park City, UT
Considerations: Position will work a minimum of 1 day per week at our Salt Lake City Archive facility.
Position Summary: Position will archive Institute materials, fulfill asset requests, and maintain the Sundance Institute Archive.

Duties: | Duties and Responsibilities:
ARCHIVING AND TRAFFICKING
• Process, catalog, preserve, and track backlog of incoming physical and digital assets.
• Retrieve and deliver assets for internal and external requests and digitize analog assets when needed.
• Create and post photo galleries and photo/video uploads to website.
• Reinforce Institute standardization of file formats, tagging, and metadata.
• Point of contact for collecting assets from all photographers and external content creators.
• Understand and reinforce usage restrictions and photographer credit.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining organizational metrics.
• Manage archives@sundance.org email account.
COPYRIGHT MANAGEMENT
• Assist with photographer and artist content rights management research and acquisitions.
• Research, document, and assign legal usage and rights.
• Conduct revenue stream research and planning.
SYSTEMS AND DATABASES
• Support the development and implementation of a digitization plan and standards.
• Assist with the creation of a digital asset management system.
• Assist with maintaining the Archives database and Online Archives
• Train and register new users with appropriate permissions in the Archives databases.
• Keep abreast of new archival systems and database technology.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: | Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 2 years experience in the arrangement and description of archival material, Masters of Library Science, or a combination of work and school experience required.
• Experience with archives scanning/digitization projects required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Proficient on both MAC and Windows platforms.
• Able to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and FileMaker Pro.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Able to analyze and solve problems.
• Working knowledge of library cataloging software.
• Ability to deal effectively, tactfully and discreetly with teammates and all internal and external contacts.
• General understanding of asset formats both analog and digital image and video file formats, media processing technology, batching tools, and content storage.
• Knowledge of film history and industry helpful.
