TEMPLE OF LIBERTY:
Building the Capitol for a New Nation
Temple of Liberty: Building the Capitol for a New Nation was prepared by
the Interpretive Programs Office of the Library of Congress in collaboration with
the Architect of the Capitol. The exhibition is part of the project to establish
a Center for American Architecture, Design, and Engineering at the Library of
Congress.
This exhibition was made possible by generous gifts from the James Madison
Council of the Library of Congress and the Philip Morris Companies Inc. The
