Introduction

The passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990 and the aging of the United States population have heightened awareness of the benefits of facilities that are accessible to people with disabilities. This bibliography is intended for people who design accessible spaces or modify existing spaces and those who assure that facilities are in compliance with the regulations. It presents sources of designs and modifications for people with disabilities to make their homes or workplaces more functional and accessible. The document includes information for parents and educators who wish to provide children an inclusive environment in which to learn and play. Most of the publications were published between 2003 and 2008.
