NIH Medical Research Scholars Program

Program Snapshot

The Common Fund supported NIH Medical Research Scholars Program is a 12-month residential program that provides training for the next generation of clinician-scientists to learn about translational research, from the bench to the bedside, and back to the bench. The program is designed to attract the most creative, research-oriented medical and dental students, called fellows, to the intramural campus of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. The fellows become engaged in a mentored clinical or translational research project in an area that matches their personal research interests and goals.
