Bob Hope was a successful vaudeville dancer, comedian, and master
of ceremonies in the 1920s. In the early 1930s he appeared in several
Broadway musicals and was an occasional guest comedian on radio
variety programs. On January 4, 1935, Hope became the Master of
Ceremonies of the radio series, Intimate Revue, sponsored
by Bromo Seltzer. That series lasted only thirteen weeks with Hope.
