    A young family, perhaps two generations, living in a log constructed home. The Deitz Family look to be hard-working, simple people; perhaps farmers.

    John F. Deitz, also known as the Defender of the Cameron Dam, was born April 3, 1861 in Winneconne, Wisconsin.

    Deitz fought the logging industry in Wisconsin.
