  • United States Newspaper Program is a cooperative national effort among the states and the federal government to locate, catalog, and preserve on microfilm newspapers published in the United States from the eighteenth century to the present.

  • Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) is the industry association for consumer magazines. Since 1919, the MPA represents U.S. publishing companies with more than 1,200 titles each, as well as some international companies and companies that provide services to the magazine industry.
  • STAT-USA, a service of the U.S. Department of Commerce, provides authoritative information from the federal government for the U.S. business, economic and trade community.
  • GPO Access disseminates official information from all three branches of the Federal Government.
  • The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications is a search and retrieval service that provides bibliographic records of U.S. Government information products. It also links to Federal agency online resources and identifies materials distributed to Federal Depository Libraries. Coverage begins with January 1994 and new records are added daily.
  • Firstgov.gov the U.S. Government's Official Web Portal is a citizen's gateway to federal information
  • UncleSam is Google's specific search engine for the federal government
  • SearchMil.com is a specialized search engine for U.S. military Web sites
  • Thomas is the Library of Congress gateway to U.S. legislative information
  • FACA Database, the Federal Advisory Committee Act database, is used by federal agencies to continuously manage an average of 1,000 advisory committees government-wide, by Congress to perform oversight of related executive branch programs, and by the public and the media to stay abreast of important developments resulting from advisory committee activities.
  • United Nations
  • WomenWatch: The UN Working for Women is a gateway created in March 1997 to resources on the promotion of gender equality throughout the United Nations system, including the United Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, funds, programs, specialized agencies. It supports implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action.
