John R. Sellers, Library of Congress Manuscript Division Historical Specialist, Civil War and Reconstruction, was instrumental in the acquisition of the Papers of Tilton C. Reynolds, from which this online collection was derived. He oversaw the selection process, provided content expertise and guidance during production, and supervised the transcription of selected letters.
Margaret Alessi Mason, Digital Conversion Specialist, coordinated the overall production of the scanning project. She assisted in the selection of items to be digitized and provided guidance on numerous digitization, research and production issues. She also assisted in the writing of descriptive text for the Web site.
Christopher W. Copetas, Digital Conversion Specialist, coordinated the scanning of the Reynolds materials and was responsible for a variety of production activities, including the creation of database records, image quality review, the placement of delivered images into a digital repository, and rights clearance.
Special thanks to Kevin Scullin, a Library of Congress Junior Fellow who worked in the Manuscript Division during the summer of 1997. He performed much of the research for this project, transcribed a selection of letters from the collection, and wrote some of the descriptive text for the Web site.
