Snapshots include photo of the Christian Herald Orphanage conducted by the American Colony; the playground of the orphanage; groups of children in the courtyard, Christmas 1919; teacher and children in classrooms; children at recess; sewing classes; wash day; food preparation and meal times; ceremonies and commencement; dentistry; picnic outing to Ein Karim; snow in winter; gardening; and teachers with children. Teacher Milly Jacob is identified in one of the classroom scenes and teacher Ruth Whiting (sister of John D. Whiting) in the photograph of the "Sewing Class." Ruth Whiting and another woman can also be seen in one of the two photographs captioned "Meal Time." Sarah Haramy and Milly Jacob are identified in the photograph captioned "Teachers."
