Dick Waterman, Promoter and Photographer of Blues Artists, To Give Illustrated Lecture On Feb. 23

WHO: Dick Waterman, photographer, agent, manager and promoter of traditional Blues artists

WHAT: Drawing from his personal archives of photographs, many previously unseen, Waterman presents an illustrated lecture titled "Between Midnight and Day" and offers commentary about Blues legends such as Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles, Son House, "Mississippi" John Hurt and many others. This event is another in the series of Benjamin Botkin Lectures on traditional American folklore presented by the American Folklife Center. The lecture is based on Waterman’s 2003 book, "Between Midnight and Day: The Last Unpublished Blues Archive." A book signing follows the lecture.
