Working for the Combat Camera Group, Kevin Tierney found the adventure he sought when he first enlisted in the Navy. Serving from 1986 to 2008, he estimates that he "packed in half a lifetime" of experiences taking pictures and documenting activities in the Persian Gulf. Serving in such a way--telling the story of what his comrades endured--was, for him, the highest honor.
