This bookmark features a small replica of the Boazio Map taken from the Kislak Collection, which was given to the Library of Congress by Jay. I Kislak. The Jay I. Kislak Collection includes nearly 3,000 rare books, maps, documents, paintings, prints, and artifacts. Considered one of the finest collections of its kind in the world, the Kislak collection focuses on the early Americas from the time of the indigenous people of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean through the period of European contact, exploration, and settlement. The addition of the Jay Kislak Collection to the holdings of the Library of Congress gives the Library's collections new strengths that complement its current holdings and will benefit students of the history of the Americas.
