This ornament takes its inspiration from the glass mosaic ceiling located in the Great Hall of the Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress. Its intricate scalloped design mimics the exquisite light prisms that form in the ceiling's six skylights. Made of brass and electroplated in non-tarnishing silver, the finish resembles the aluminum that was selected in the 1890s to create the metallic ornamentation of the Hall's ceiling. At that time, aluminum was more precious than silver. Blue and vermillion enamel details. 2.75" dia. Gift boxed. Price: $17.95 Availability: Usually ships in 2-3 business days Product #: 21506050 |
