  1. Just heard - Best Practices Exchange (BPE) in 2013 will be held in Salt Lake City Utah.

    States continuing the tradition since 2006.

    BPE is Archive-It's favorite event and an opportunity to meet with so many of our colleagues and friends.

  5. Members of the Archive-It team presenting at Harvard today - “Opportunities and Challenges of Participatory Digital Archives: Lessons from the March 11, 2011 Great Eastern Japan Disaster"
  6. And we'll also start email discussion lists for the following groups.
    -Museums and art libraries
    -State libraries and archives, historical societies
    -Public libraries and local government institutions
    -College and university libraries.

    We realize there may be some overlap, so feel free to join as many discussion lists as you would like.
  7. We'll also be hosting online meet-ups and partner discussion lists for like minded organizations grappling with similar use cases and challenges.

    The first meetup will be for state archives and state libraries at the end of February 2/28 at 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET.
