WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) spoke on the Senate floor immediately following defeat of a motion to begin debate on Wall Street reform. For the third day in a row, Senate Republicans sided with Wall Street over Main Street and blocked consideration of the bill.

Lautenberg began his remarks by stating: “There are fundamental questions being asked of Senators this week: Whose side are you on? Who do you work for? On Monday, Tuesday and again today we got an answer. On the other side of the aisle, they made it clear—they stand with the big banks.”
