Made during the height of the early 20th century postcard craze, this example from Maine Republican Charles Littlefield uses the medium not only as a conveyer of images, but as a promotion tool. The card features an image of Littlefield alongside an excerpt of his speech on the Railroad Rate Bill, spreading both his image and information about his work on behalf of his constituents.
