Laverle Berry (Federal Research Division ) drafted the annotations found in the collection's bibliographic records.

In the American Memory office, Joanne Freeman oversaw the preparation of interpretive texts and the interactive exhibit. She was aided by writer-researcher Hugh Gallagher. The catalog records were reprocessed for American Memory by Elaine Woods.
