Visitor Hours for the Buildings on Capitol Hill.

Note: Many of these Capitol Hill buildings are working office buildings. Availability and hours are subject to change, due to special events or other considerations.

Capitol Visitor Center:

Open to visitors from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Saturday except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Inauguration Day.

Tours of the U.S. Capitol are conducted from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., Monday - Saturday.

Visitors with official business appointments may enter the Visitor Center as early as 7:15 a.m.
 

U.S. Botanic Garden:

Conservatory: open 10 a.m - 5 p.m. daily, including all weekends and holidays.

National Garden: open 10 a.m - 5 p.m. daily, including all weekends and holidays.

Bartholdi Park: open dawn to dusk, daily, including all weekends and holidays.


Library of Congress:
All buildings are closed to the public on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The Madison and Adams buildings are closed all other federal holidays.

Thomas Jefferson Building:
Monday – Saturday
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

James Madison Memorial Madison Building:
Monday – Friday
8:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Entry after 6 p.m. is reserved for researchers, staff, and those attending special programs.)

Saturday
8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

John Adams Building:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Entry after 6 p.m. is reserved for researchers, staff, and those attending special programs.)

Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.


Supreme Court:
Monday – Friday (except Federal Holidays)
9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
