Could you pick just ten favorite photographs from the LOC account on Flickr?

More than 20 people took up the challenge and created great galleries, often with interesting comments about why a photo mattered to them. The images in this set appeared in two or more of the “My LOC Favorite” galleries. You’ll see familiar images, but many will surprise you, too. The selections reflect a wonderfully wide variety of interests.

trialsanderrors  Pro User  says:

Quite a number of surprises, starting with the three pictures of the photographers, Dorothea Lange, Toni Frissell, and Frances Benjamon Johnston (although I'd say the LOC has better ones than the one picked here). And Dorothea Lange and Walker Evans don't rule the FSA collection supreme -- Jack Delano, Marion Post (don't call her Wolcott), Alfred Palmer also got attention. The Bain News collection and the photochrom collection likely both suffered from too-many-to-choose from syndrome, or I'm sure we would've seen more of them. All in all a very interesting selection. Thanks to Bronwen and all who helped make this happen...
