• Storkespringvandet. Still standing here, and now immortalized in a song from the sixties, where hippies often gathered here. - Jesper Hauge
  • It seems like one person is retouched away here! Can it really be so??
    - - maurice flower
  • Maybe it's just some mistake with this lady. The silhouette of the invisible man matches this lady. Some sort of retouching error? - Johŋ

This should either be Hochbrücke-Platz (in German), Upper Bridge Square (in English), or ideally Højbro Plads (in Danish). It seems like most of the postcards are labeled in German.

And do we really need these annoying blinking flowers in the comments?

The fountain with the storks was erected in 1894.

...and despite the name Stork-fountain they are not realy storks at all but rather cranes.
All the hippies gathered around this fountain in the summers of 1969 and 1970. There was a song writen about it too. quote; Det store stygge Storkespringvand, quot;.
This square was not planned at all, but came into being because of the fire in 1795. The row of houses that stood here was never rebuild and the square is still there.
