This shot was taken a split second before hilarity ensued.

Well, at least he's going to land on the side with the cushion.

Odd caption. They didn't copy the wrong spelling of athletes as "athlets" as it is written on the original photo (that's the policy in some places), but they did their own spelling version instead, viz, "atheletes". I blame the Greeks. They started it all — phthsis, indeed!

yeah, fix the typo on the photo title.

This picture is actually kind of upsetting. I'm just curious as to why or who would let a group of blind kids try such dangerous gymnastics. It doesn't look like they have any supervision or anyone to spot their landing, yet someone was around to capture it on film. A little dissapointing...

yeah they should be kept in a padded room and constantly reminded that they are different from everyone else and they shouldn't try to do anything but read braille. dumbass.

I never said they should be locked away and unable to experience life, maybe you shouldn't treat people so poorly and refrain from calling a me a "dumbass" and notice that I was concerned about the well being of someone about to land flat on their back, blind or not this is a dangerous situation. No need to put immature comments up especially when you don't know what you're talking about.

I don't think he is actually about to fall, it seems to me this is more just a position or transition to another pose. You can see he has a firm grip on the pommel.
