Kurt Carroll

Kurt Carroll is the Chief of the Law Library's Collection Services Division. This division is responsible for managing the Law Library's collection which includes collecting, maintaining, retrieving, and preserving our 2.8 million volumes from over 240 jurisdictions. He works with Library of Congress acquisition specialists and the six field directors from LCs overseas offices to ensure the Law Library’s collections are current and complete. He first came to the Law Library in 2007 as a collection development librarian. Prior to this, he was the Law Librarian for the US Senate Judiciary Committee where he built a law collection and provided research and reference support to staff on all jurisdictions of the Committee. Kurt holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Canisius College and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the Catholic University of America.
