  • We accept all major credit cards; service fees may apply with other providers.
  • International orders are not accepted.
  • Each person's order may not exceed $200 in total value of fare media within a 72-hour period.
  • Your shipping address must match your billing address. Both must match what is on file with your credit card provider.
  • We ship your order via the U.S. Postal Service First Class Mail. Your order will be shipped within two business days from the day you place your order. Metro does not charge for shipping and handling.

MTA CharmCard®

MTA CharmCard®

A permanent, rechargeable farecard that can hold up to $200 in value to pay for rail and bus fares and for parking fees at Metro operated parking facilities. The card costs $2.50 and comes with $7.50 in value already on the card for a total of $10. You can add value to the card at MTA ticket vending machines, MTA bus farebox, Metrorail stations, on Metrobus or buses at participating transit agencies.

Metrorail Passes

7-day Rail Short Trip Pass image

7-day Rail Short Trip Pass

Pass is valid for seven consecutive days for Metrorail trips costing up to $3.50 from 5-9:30 am and 3-7 pm on weekdays. If the trip costs more than $3.50 you must use the Exitfare machine to pay the additional fare. The pass is valid for any rail trip at other times. The pass will be returned for continued use during the period it is valid. The $1.00 paper farecard surcharge does not apply to the Short Trip Pass.
