Major Weekend Track Work Schedule

Major Weekend Track Work

Metro is accelerating its efforts to improve safety and return the system to a state of good repair. In order to impact fewer customers, we are using a new approach to major weekend track work that involves temporarily closing individual stations or clusters of stations and replacing trains with free shuttle buses. The benefits of replacing trains with buses are:

  • Rebuilding work will get done faster and safer
  • Trains will operate more normally outside the work zone, with fewer delays
  • Fewer customers will be inconvenienced

While there will still be delays and inconvenience associated with the critical work we're undertaking, please be assured that we will all possible steps to minimize your inconvenience.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to rebuild Metro.

NOTE: Every effort will be made to adhere to the schedule below. However, changes may be necessary due to weather, construction delays and other factors outside our control. This page will be updated as necessary. For details about this weekend's track work, including minor projects that may impact your trip, click here.
