Of the private non-good producing industries, services industries account for 55% of economic activity in the U.S. Most of these industries are surveyed in the Service Annual Survey. The instrument to collect data for the Service Annual Survey is the Annual Services Report.
The Service Annual Survey provides estimates of revenue and other measures for most traditional service industries. The United States Code, Title13, authorizes this survey and provides for mandatory responses.
