Poet Carol Muske-Dukes appears at the 2011 National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Carol Muske-Dukes is poet laureate of California and a 1998 winner of the Witter Bynner award from the Library of Congress. She is the author of many books of poetry, including "Sparrow,"which was a National Book Award finalist. Her newest works are "Twin Cities" and "Crossing State Lines" (co-edited with Bob Holman). Her work appears widely as a critic for The New York Times Book Review and in The New Yorker and Los Angeles Magazine. Muske-Dukes is a Guggenheim and National Endowment for the Arts fellow and has been published in Best American Poems.
