Avi

Avi has written more than 70 books, including the Newbery Medal-winning “Crispin: The Cross of Lead.” He has also received a Newbery Honor for “The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle” and “Nothing but the Truth.” His advice for budding writers: “I believe reading is the key to writing. The more you read the better your writing can be.” Avi’s latest book is “Sophia’s War” (Simon & Schuster).
