National Book Festival

Lien-Hang Nguyen, an associate professor at the University of Kentucky, specializes in the study of the United States in the world, focusing on Southeast Asia during the Cold War. Her new book is “Hanoi’s War: An International History of the War for Peace in Vietnam” (University of North Carolina Press). Nguyen is currently working on a book that explores the role of gender, people’s diplomacy and transnational networks of antiwar activism during the Vietnam War era that draws on multi-archival research in Vietnam, the United States and Europe.
