National Book Festival

When Peter Brown was growing up in New Jersey, he spent a lot of time creating and drawing silly characters. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, he moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., and worked in animation. His first picture book was “Flight of the Dodo.” Since then he has written and illustrated the E.B. White Award winner, Children’s Choice Award winner and New York Times best-selling “The Curious Garden.” Brown has just published “Creepy Carrots” (Simon & Schuster).
