1939, collected by Sidney Robertson Cowell in Fresno, California.
Recordings include "Turkish-style Armenian city music" and Armenian
folk songs with vocals alone or accompanied by the oud and violin.

Sidney Robertson Cowell refers to the oud as the "oude."
Biographical and historical notes:
"Mr. and Mrs. Goshtigian are from Constantinople. She is an accomplished artist on the oude [oud] -- was thoroughly trained in music in Turkey."
