SUMMARY
Transfers administration of Federal forest reserves from the Department of Interior to the Department of Agriculture, and provides that funds from the sale of products or the use of land in the reserves shall be used for managing and developing the forest reserve system.
NOTES
Known as the Transfer Act. Placed the forest reserves under the jurisdiction of Gifford Pinchot's bureau, in accordance with the recommendations of the American Forest Congress of 1905; the change permitted Pinchot to implement his ambitious program of scientific forest management.
