AFC 1982/006: Carol and Travis Jenkins Garifuna Collection
Eighty-three 7-inch tapes and 91 pages of manuscripts of songs, poems, and religious ceremonies performed by the Garifuna people of Belize. Recorded by Carol and Travis Jenkins in the villages of Barranco (Barangu), Seine Bight, Hopkins, and Dangriga (Stann Creek), June 19-August 20, 1981, with assistance from Illinois State University and the American Folklife Center's Equipment Loan program.
