There are no known restrictions on photographs by Harris & Ewing. Privacy and publicity rights may apply.

Access: Permitted; subject to P&P policy on serving originals which precludes the serving of original negatives to patrons.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Permitted, subject to P&P policy on copying.

Publication and other forms of distribution:Permitted. The photographic firm of Harris & Ewing, Inc. gave its photographic negatives to the Library in 1955. The Instrument of Gift included restrictions which have now expired. In addition, the Library acquired from various sources photographic prints taken by Harris & Ewing. Copyrights were placed on some of these photographs, but the copyrights have expired. Privacy and publicity rights may apply.
