Visual Materials from the Raymond Loewy Papers include drawings and photographs by Raymond Loewy and his associated firms, as well as work by others. 

Access: Subject to P&P policy on serving originals. Unprocessed materials are served by advance arrangement (see: "Access to Unprocessed Materials" - http://www.loc.gov/rr/print/info/022_unpr.html).  Some materials may be too fragile to serve.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Subject to P&P policy on copying. This policy prohibits placing some materials on a photocopy machine.

Publication and other forms of distribution: Rights in this material held by Loewy and his associated firms are unrestricted, but users should be aware of situations that potentially affect the rights status of the materials; users must perform their own assessment of the risk of using particular images:

1. Materials by other creators: May be restricted by copyright. Privacy and publicity rights may also apply.
2. Design work created for hire in the development of products and identities for corporations: May be restricted by copyright.  Loewy’s agreements with his clients may include special terms under which Loewy retained more rights than usual with work for hire.
