There are no known restrictions on the use of stereographs.

Access: Permitted; subject to P&P policy on serving originals.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Permitted, subject to P&P policy on copying.

Publication and other forms of distribution: There are no known restrictions on the use of stereographs. The collection includes thousands of photographs submitted for copyright protection. The Library's searches reveal that the copyrights on these photographs have expired and these images are therefore in the public domain. The collection also includes images not submitted for copyright and images that may not have been published. However, most of these date from the 1860's and are therefore not eligible for copyright protection.
