OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

SUBMITTING HAND-CARRIED SEALED BIDS

When a bidder or bidder's representative delivers a bid directly into a GPO office, the following procedures are to be followed:

1) All paperwork will be completed and sealed within an envelope before handing the bid to a clerk to be time stamped. The company name, job number, and bid opening date should appear on the outside of the envelope.

2) Do not lay the bid on a counter top, table, or desk and assume that the clerk has seen you do so. Get the clerk's attention and hand the bid to the clerk.

3) When submitting a bid within a few minutes of the bid opening time, get the clerk's attention immediately. Do not assume that the clerk has seen you, especially if the clerk is involved in another task.
