   The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) is a national non-profit organization whose membership consists of engineering and land surveying licensing boards for all states and territories of the U.S. These Member Boards represent all states and U.S. territorial jurisdictions. There are no individual members of the NCEES, rather the delegates who represent their respective boards are members of the NCEES. Membership consists of 70 Member Boards. The primary role of the Council is to prepare the engineering and land surveying examinations through its Committee on Examinations for Professional Engineers (EPE) and Committee on Examinations for Professional Surveyors (EPS). Examinations are administered twice a year on specific dates. The vision of the NCEES today is to provide leadership in the professional licensure of engineers and land surveyors and to help shape the standards of the profession's future. This is achieved through excellence in uniform laws, licensing standards, and rules of professional ethics as administered by its Member Boards for the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare.
