Reactions from ASCD

Demonstrating what the Library of Congress has for educators

It seems that the Library of Congress has something for everyone, including teachers of all grade levels. These are just a few snippets from the rich conversations that the Library’s education specialists had last weekend at the ASCD conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“This is the best thing I’ve seen all day.” – Technology coordinator from Wisconsin

“I just want to go home now and explore all this!” – Middle school teacher from North Carolina

The Library online

“Great resource for interdisciplinary studies – no textbook can take the place of going to the primary sources directly.”  – New Hampshire high school teacher

“Why have I never thought of using this?” -  First grade teacher from New Jersey

“I just want to tell you that my twelve year old son once was asked ‘What 3 things would you take with you to the moon?’ He replied, ‘the Library of Congress.’” – Vendor in the exhibit hall

See for yourself what the Library of Congress has for teachers.
